Having started in Field Service in the early 90's (when CP/M was in common usage), I've been a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer since 1999, first qualifying on Windows NT 4 and upgrading to Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 platforms. I'm also a Certified Novell Administrator for NetWare 4 and NetWare 5 and have a reasonable familiarity with a number of Linux distributions.
All this adds up to many years experience with a whole range of hardware and operating system platforms and many, many software applications.
